Mouth at each End

PARASOL ENSEMBLE/Alex Franz Zehetbauer
Halle G, Tanzquartier Wien (AT)
(14. & 15.01.2025)

In his performances, Alex Franz Zehetbauer beguiles with sophisticated melodies, strange vocal escapades and unexpected twists. His suggestion for the TQW dance group PARASOL: form a choir and bring a brand-new musical repertoire to the stage. An experiment in voice and collectivity, Mouth at Each End explores the many ways in which the world sings together and how the term ‘choir’ can be understood. It examines the conventional frameworks for group singing but also less classical formations: How does a restless audience or a round of friends at the dinner table munching and crunching away harmonise? This show will try polyphonic togetherness from different sides. With an insatiable appetite, Mouth at Each End stretches from the stage to your very seat – and consumes you with its songs.
